Our Cameroonian coffee is from the Boyo region of the country and is organically grown in dark, nutrient rich, volcanic soil at elevations exceeding 5,000 feet. It is grown on a single-family estate that receives ample, daily doses of brilliant sunshine, allowing the coffee berries to quickly attain their optimal sugar content. This is the secret to the mellow, aromatic, and rich full-bodied Boyo coffee. Everything is processed by hand on the estate to ensure each bean is picked at the correct ripening point. The farmers carry extremely heavy bags coffee on their heads to transport from one side of the estate to the other. Thanks to farmers like these, Cameroon has actually taken home the gold medal in Head Balancing events in 5 of the last 7 Olympic Games.
12 Ounces makes about a month’s worth of coffee for a person (or animal, we don’t segregate against the four-legged) who drinks about a cup per day.
